The Rotherham Student Journalist Project – News Hound, The Game
News Hound, the board game aimed to capture students’ imaginations by making journalism more fun. The board’s concept and design took students on a journey of discovery with forfeits and design tasks, exciting industry experiences. Design and use of illustrated characters populating the game helped ‘News Hound’ drive engagement. After market testing with various student groups, the game was printed and used in schools across the Rotherham borough. The colourful characters were also used in a series of newsletters and print-based campaigns.
