Designing a vibrant and playful brand identity for Nonna's Italian Kitchen, an authentic Italian restaurant specialising in pasta. If you think pasta's boring? – think again! Nonna's pride themselves on serving their customers delicious, hearty Italian food steeped in the authentic flavours of Italy.
I started the branding process by imagining our Nonna (grandmother in Italian) as a woman from Florence with an abundance of charisma, who'd picks her own produce, make all her food from scratch. This was a way to communicate the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity – when it comes to great wholesome Italian food, our Nonna knows best!

Nonna's new design concept seeks to appeal to younger customers rather than the “traditional demographic” who loves pasta, it was important to balance between the unexpected and modernising Nonna's for today's younger families.
The result is a functional, fashionable brand identity with optimised consumer experience. The client's packaging design was refreshed to include more detailed nutritional and cooking information, with the copy style revised to be more inviting along with a reinvented colour palette.
